Our Story – A Legacy of Excellence in Food and Service
At VS Integrated Services, our journey is rooted in the inspiring story of our founder, M. Janakiram, a seasoned expert in the food and beverage industry with over 33 years of experience. His lifelong passion for hospitality began at the early age of 17 when he embarked on his career as a steward at ITC Hotels – a journey that would shape his expertise in delivering exceptional service.
Janakiram’s career began as a steward at ITC, where his dedication and talent led him to become a butler and later a multi-service assistant, handling front office, housekeeping, food, and beverages. After five years, his skills earned him a promotion to ITC Dakshin as a Senior Steward and eventually as a Captain of Banquets, where he mastered the art of hosting large-scale events.
A Humble Start to Excellence
Serving VIPs and Grand Events
During his time in Banquets, Janakiram managed high-profile government events, five Aero Shows, and four Indian Premier League (IPL) seasons, where he took charge of the Diamond Room. His experience in these prestigious events gave him a deep understanding of handling luxury clients and VIP guests with grace and efficiency.
Expertise in Luxury Hospitality
Janakiram further expanded his expertise by working at various multi-cuisine restaurants in ITC Windsor Manor, serving luxury customers. His reputation grew as he moved to ITC Gardenia Bangalore, where he was instrumental in setting up a coffee shop and successfully launching Kebabs and Curries (K&K), a unique dining experience. He had the privilege of working closely with Chef Imtiaz Qureshi, learning the nuances of fine dining and culinary excellence. Janakiram became known for his signature mocktail, Gulabi, a welcome drink that became a guest favorite and earned widespread acclaim.
A Leader at IIM Bangalore
Following his remarkable tenure at ITC, Janakiram took on a new challenge as the Facility Manager at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). In this role, he oversaw accommodations and managed food services for diverse events and programs, providing seamless service to stakeholders. His leadership in menu planning, staff management, and setting high standards of service at IIMB was widely recognized, cementing his reputation for excellence in the hospitality industry.
The Birth of VS Integrated Services
Driven by his lifelong dream to provide high-quality food and service, Janakiram founded VS Integrated Services. What started as a small initiative to nourish students has now grown into a thriving business, catering to universities, schools, and PG/UG students. His vision is to bring the same level of excellence he cultivated over decades to every event and client, ensuring that every meal is a memorable experience.
Today, VS Integrated Services stands as a testament to Janakiram’s unwavering dedication to hospitality and his passion for serving people with heart and soul.
